Description

This course is an introduction to the operation and development of airports. Topics will include the history of airport development, airport planning, funding of capital projects, financial planning, managing growth, airport management, community relations, landside and airside operations, as well as technological advances in air transportation and their impact on airports. The course will cover general aviation, regional, and major airports. Field trips may be required.

Prerequisites

Any one of: AE 205 Aircraft Operations, AF 118 Fundamentals of Flight, or AF 119 Fundamentals of Flight - Transition.
