Glenn Carter, USN(Ret) is the Dean, School of Aviation Science at Daniel Webster College.

Mr. Carter grew up in an Air Force family and first learned how to fly at the age of 16. With over 20 years of naval aviation experience; including executive management, supervision, security, maritime and safety management. His experience came through the U.S. Navy working as an aviation gas free engineer, company commander, aircraft maintenance manager, line operations manager, air traffic controller, aviation structural mechanic, quality assurance manager, among numerous other positions, before retiring from the United States Navy.

As an aviation manager, consultant, and contracting officer technical representative with the U.S Department of Homeland Security, Mr. Carter assisted in developing the Transportation Security Administration’s Airport Access Control Pilot Program in addition to other security projects for the Department of Homeland Security. Mr. Carter also assisted with the review of the North Carolina Rural Court Commission on Courthouse Security and Safety for all Judges, Staff, and Public Personnel.

Mr. Carter is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics and Master of Aeronautical Science degrees. He currently is a PhD Candidate in Business Administration – Organizational Leadership.

Mr. Carter enjoys flying, golf, traveling, hiking, exploring, swimming and is also a musician(drummer/percussionist).
